Meet the Creative Minds Behind Carbone Studios: Stephen and Jennie Carbone

At the heart of Carbone Studios, you'll find two passionate individuals who have transformed their love for photography and entrepreneurship into a thriving hub for creativity and collaboration for all those alike! Stephen and Jennie have been business partners since 2019 and married since 2017. Since launching their own media company in 2019, Stephen quickly realized that the community was lacking the space, resources and support that is needed in todays industry in order to continue growing. By offering a studio space that can be utilized as a community means that all creatives have the same opportunities to create and thrive in, without the long-term commitment.

Stephen's Journey:

Stephen has seen the world through a lens since his journey in photography began in 2005. His desire to create ignited a spark that would eventually lead him to explore various genres of photography, from landscapes to portraits. With years of experience in the industry, he understands the nuances of lighting, composition, and storytelling, and he brings this expertise to every aspect of Carbone Studios. From the recessed lighting in the ceilings to the durable flooring throughout the studio, nothing was overlooked when designing the perfect studio for the photography community in Richmond, Virginia and beyond.

Jennie's Creative Flair:

Jennie, the other half of this dynamic duo, is a force in her own right. Jennie comes from a background of marketing and management which is why she is just the one for the job! Jennie also plays a vital role in helping curate the studio spaces at Carbone Studios. Her keen eye for detail and a knack for creating welcoming and inspiring environments contribute to the studio's unique ambiance.

A Shared Vision:

Stephen and Jennie's shared love for entrepreneurship, photography and their desire to build a nurturing space for fellow creatives led to the inception of Carbone Studios. Their combined expertise, creativity, and dedication have transformed their vision into a reality. As studio owners, they bring not only technical know-how but also a genuine passion for fostering a community of photographers and creatives who can learn, collaborate, and thrive together.
